Welcome to Robinson Township of Washington County
Robinson Township is a rural community lying just below the Allegheny County line in northern Washington County. The township lies near the Boroughs of McDonald and Midway, Pennsylvania. The township has about 21.3 miles of land area and has nearly 2,000 residents.
The Township has no major village or population center. Development is clustered along major highways or near the neighboring Boroughs of McDonald and Midway. There are some small clusters of rural residential development. Traditionally, the Township has been primarily a coal mining and farming community. In more recent years, it has been transforming towards a bedroom community for the nearby Pittsburgh Metropolitan area.
